I am considering using a BFG Tech 9800 GX2 with a ASUS P5K DELUXE. My first question is, will the card use both GPU's since the MB is not SLI? Also with a card like this how much benefit would I see if I went to a MB that had a FSB 1600/1333MHz of instead of a 1333/1066MHz FSB? Would it be visibly noticeable. This PC would be mainly used for games and an occational office application. Thanks
To answer your first question: Yes it will work. No it will not support SLI. However, as others have stated, SLI won't be needed with this card as it essentially does SLI on the card itself.
To answer your second question: It depends on what memory you get. To get the most bang for your buck, go with a 1333 setup so you get the most out of one board and still are close to max performance on the other. the difference between 1333 and 1066 is small but the difference between 1600 and 1066 is visible on SOME applications but definately visible in your wallet.

Hey i am new! I am getting confused...does the nvidia9800gx2 doesn't work well, because i am going to buy new pc hardwares[nVIDIA two 9800GX2 Graphics Card,Asus® Striker II Extreme Gaming Motherboard,Kingston® Hyperx DDR3 8GB 1600MHz Ram,AGEIA® Physx Card-128-bit GDDR3 128MB,SATA II 3Gb/s - 500GB Hard Drive ,SATA II 3Gb/s - 1TB (1000GB) Hard Drive,Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W,Intel® Core 2 Extreme processor QX9775........it will be great if any one tell their is any thing i can add or improve in these hardware's. and and i am not sure hardware's will work? because i saw comment from many forums that say they have problems with gx2..what shoul i do??
Is there r any things can to improve my system [nVIDIA two 9800GX2 Graphics Card,Asus® Striker II Extreme Gaming Motherboard,Kingston® Hyperx DDR3 8GB 1600MHz Ram,AGEIA® Physx Card-128-bit GDDR3 128MB,SATA II 3Gb/s - 500GB Hard Drive ,SATA II 3Gb/s - 1TB (1000GB) Hard Drive,Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W,Intel® Core 2 Extreme processor QX9775
NVIDIA GEFORCE 9800GX2(Read the note about the 7950GX2,its the same for 9800GX2)
NVIDIA GEFORCE 7950GX2(Remember, you may think that because 7950GX2 is actually "2 cards attached to one" then you need a SLI motherboard to use it, but you dont, for single 7950GX2, u will need just one PCI-E 16x slot
Hope this helped

DONT DO IT I TRIED IT. The card is so large it will cover up sata ports 1245 of the 6 that are there. I know that it covers the PCI below it, but it almost completely blocks the second pci below that.
