Any Ideas for Short (<8" Long) PCI-E Cards?

So, gave up on doing a custom PC after getting two dead motherboards in a row and going through weeks of hassle and bought a pre-fabbed machine. However, much to my chagrin, the SATA ports are right behind the PCI-E port (what drives board manufacturers to do this?). As a result, the 8800-series graphics card I had purchased along with the machine was not of any immediate use, as it was ~9" long, and covered up the ports.

Anyone out there have any ideas for either a decent (8600-8800 price/quality range) card which is 8 or fewer inches in length, or a dependable/stable SATA card? The SATA cards I've read up on all seem to be on the unstable side.

Any product suggestions would be appreciated!

Can you get by with a 90 degree angled sata cable to the mobo? Might give enough room. can you move the sata cable over to a different slot to enabled connection without barring card install?

:bounce: Definitely go with the 8800GT. I just slapped them into SLI and I get 90 fps on COD4 at 1650x1080 everything maxed!!!!! And I got the XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog XXX 256mb version. :bounce:

Well worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
