No, Current Intel chipsets to NOT support SLI and the P35 does not have enough data lanes for 2 x16 cards. Some boards may do 8 and 8, but intel has a chipset just for crossfire. If you want CF look for a X38 or the newer X48 chipsets

The p35 is a good overclocker. many users take there Q6600's to 3.6+ on them, but all cpus clock differently so there is no guarantee.

Alright, thanks. Overclocking is good, as I am planning on overclocking my CPU soon-ish.

So, clarification. SLI doesn't work, but depending on the board it may support CF? :s

Yes. Some boards have the P35 and just split the 1 x16 into 2 x8 slots for crossfire. The performance hit should not be too bad.

Still keep an eye out for the X38's and X48's

Something that's is worth a read. In some cases x8 and x8 work better, but I think it just the motherboard being better.

That was interesting, thank for you it. I'm just trying to decide between keeping my current P35, or getting and X38. There is no guarentee I will go CF (kinda a nVidia guy), but it might be worth the upgrade.

How does the X38 do for overclocking?

Any news of the X38 going down in price? I just don't feel justified paying significantly more at the time being.

probably be dropping price, as it is starting to get phased out.

Well then I think I will wait until prices go down a wee tad, before purchasing a new Motherboard. Also, I know there are apparent issues with using DDR2-1066 with the P35 (I'm using it currently, no issues. But I think my BIOS has it set to DDR2-800 =s), but is there any possible issues using this with the X38?
