Q9450 Intel Quad
Asus Rampage Formula x48 ddr2
4gb ram 2x2gb

hd4870 - 1 starting out 2 in about 3-6 months in CF

2 HDs 7200rpm Satas
5 case fans 120mm
1 dvd+/-RW

1000 Smart UPS between the comp and the wall.

My extreme power supply calc came out to 653w @ 100% load. I used hd 3870x2 in cross fire since they don't have the site updated for the 4800 cards yet. This was also @ 100% load with an over clock to 3.2 vcore 1.4 setting.

I am looking at PC P&C 750 silencer and wondering if it would do the trick? Would it be a good buy to last 3 years or so?

I am looking for a recommended PS for hd4870 in CF. Pref with out modular cableing and a single 12v rail. I would like it to be under 200USD if possible.

The PC P&C 750 silencer is a very good unit made of premier quality components, can hardly go wrong with that one...... I am no expert in the matter though but I am pretty sure it'll run your up coming rig just fine. You don't hear people complaining about those unit that much.

Yeah I hear only good things about PC P&C units, I just wanted to know if it will drive my box or if I need to up the watts.
