Alt tab makes things slow

If I AltTab away from a program, like a game, then go back, often it becomes very choppy... any idea what I can do to fix this?

Seems like it's a common problem.

When I ALT-TAB out of the game to go back to Windows, and I do this 10+ times over say an hour, my World of Warcraft graphics get all 'chuggy' and the game runs so slow it becomes unplayable. I have to quit and restart it before it's usable again.

Upgrade lol that works best. Its all got to do with XP meshing with the video drivers. I can switch back between my starcraft 2 and other windows with no problems on my Win7 machine.

I got a new rig and so far have only played dragon age... which crashed like crazy in Win7 but was fine in XP :S

i guess ill just use 7 from now on.
