Well I've been thinking of making a really good pc gaming rig, with the new gtx 280 and was wondering what im better off buying, a 30" lcd tv with lower resolution, or a 22-25" lcd monitor with a higher resolution and a tv tuner. Im trying to have it go as a double purpose, for both using my computer for gaming, along with watching tv. I cant buy a 30" lcd monitor though, its way out of my budget. Can anyone explain to me whats the better option.

Sitting close to a 30 inch TV with like 720p resolution will make you ask yourself a question "wtf is with those pixels".
Will you need a Gtx280 for 720p. >.< The answer is obvious - NOOOO.
If i were you, i would buy a 26' ACER screen with 19x12. Or even a 27' with 25x16.
