I've a serios problem on my sata DISK.
I moved it to a newer system and the disk settings seem to have changed.
THe new system can read the disk like a charm ....
The old one even locks up in the setup.

I've seen these problems before, and solved them even with brand new disks....
what is needed is a tool to set the sata parameters (LBA, capacity , disk speed ....)
I know they exist but can not find them

PLease help me list out the available satta tools.

It's possible the tools are device dependend but ... there are surely tools independend of
vendor and supported OS

i would prefer DOS as os and WD as hardware for my latest problem .

Download UBCD and take a look at the HDD tools that's there.
