GTS is the better card standard - but the question is the overclocked (superclocked) versions of these cards. The charts on this website suggest the GT ocs better than the GTS, no?

Bother of these cards are OC'd already. They could both easily hit 700mhz, but either way there is no way to make up for the extra 16sp that the GTS has. I believe that both of them could be OC'd fairly equally, so once again the GTS is the best choice.
to judge performance? A tech guy at microcenter tried to "up"sell me to the GT-OC pointing out that on this chart it performs better.
EDIT - Someone just answered my question. "The 8800 GTS in their comparison is the old G80 core one, not the newer G92 core. The 512mb G92 GTS is faster than both the 320mb and 640mb G80 GTS."
Nevermind ^^

No, those are the old 8800 GTS 320 G80 charts not the New 8800 GTS 512 that he is talking about.
Don't trust those charts anymore, they are extremely out of date lol. They are just a GENERAL guide for casual users that just want a general estimation.
(While even the general estimation is out there with the charts soo old)
