Ok...overclocking my processor seems a lot easier than overclocking my memory...so I'm hoping someone here can give me some good advice. Right now I have my BIOS at the following settings for overclocking. Note that the memory is actually underclocked as I can't seem to find stable settings. Please help. What should I change these settings to to at least get 1066MHz or a little better. Also, for Corsair Dominator memory without the fan on top (it wouldn't stay on well and was interfering with my video card), what is a safe overclock speed and maximum to avoid.
Robust Graphics Booster - Auto
CPU Clock Ratio - 8X
Fine CPU Clock Ratio - +0.0
CPU Host Clock Control - Enabled
CPU Host Frequency - 400 (MHz)
PCI Express Frequency - 100 MHz
CIA2 - Disabled
Performance Enhance - Standard
Extreme Memory Profile - Disabled
(G)MCH Frequency Latch - 333 (Is this correct?)
System Memory Multiplier - 2.40 (Is this correct or would something higher..and 1280MHz speed be stable/reliable)
All other settings are auto, except DRAM Voltage at 2.1V
My Q9450 is running at 3.2GHz (400 x 8) and Corsair Dominator memory at 960MHz
Any recommendations. I played around with some stuff when I first put it together last week but kept getting Blue Screens or the computer wouldn't post. I'm new to memory overclocking and would just like a little more (at least 1066MHz).
