Corsair Tx650W

I have this brand new psu(topic title) and I've installed it with my XFX 9600 GT which needs only 400 watt minimum. Every time i try loading a game, it crashes my entire computer and it reboots itself. My screen goes black and the monitor goes to sleep, and the sound crashes at the same time, creating a loop sound at whatever was being emitted from the speakers at that moment. I was wondering if it was my graphics card that was doing that, but it wasn't, everything was going fine, and it was at temperature of 115 Fahrenheit which is normal for the 9600's and I also thought that it couldn't be it because why would the sound crash along with it? What could the problem be?

I know this sounds stupid, but I'm a new user, and am i supposed to move a switch such as in this picture?

The part that is labeled as psu. i didn't see that on my psu.

No, that switch has nothing to do with it.

What are the other parts in your pc?

Also, what are the temps on your cpu?

and the rest is pretty much the usual stuff, as you can see i have an amd athlon 64x2 dualcore proccesor unit and i've also got a small screen, 15' iinch screen which wouldnt cause any trouble at all. i've been reverting to the drivers on the cd that came with the graphics card and they resulted in the same crash,([maybe in my thoughts, it would be some other issue because my sound creates this loophole into any sound that was playing at that given moment and it continue for 20 seconds until it shuts down and restarts my computer. i cant even run 3dmakr either because of this graphics issue. i cant find any more drivers, since i have reinstalled my os using norton ghost and could there be somethign that isnt compatible with my graphics card in my system?

What about the CPU temp?

Also what type of RAM do you have, and how much of it?

Can you post a pic showing the GPU temp? I'm sure you're right, but it doesn't harm to double check.

thats a screenshot of what ntune says, and i am still crashing. i've changed the connectors to the graphics card from pci to different pci connector, so i think it may be a card problem, i've reverted yet again to different drivers and still no luck, i continue crashing in game. Any more help?

Uninstall Ntune. It is notoriously unstable and causes crashes. If you still have issues after that, post again please.

You could try a trick I like to employ when I am unsure of what is wrong with my computer. It isn't the kindest thing to do to a retailer, but it works.

Go to Best Buy, Microcenter, Frys Electronics, or any big box retailer that sells computer parts and buy a graphics card and a power supply. Do not lose the receipt. Install the replacement PSU and see if it crashes. If it does then try the replacement graphics card. If it stops crashing well then...you've found your problem.

If not than it could be a problem with the motherboard, the memory, the hard drive, well you get the point. After you find the suspect part simply return your merchandise and you'll be all set. Oh, don't do this for Newegg or any other online retailer because they like to charge restocking fees.
