Overclocking a 4830

I have played around with OCing my Sapphire 4830. I was wondering if there is a link between GPU speed and the memory speed as far as stability is concerned? I can go to 700mhz on the GPU and 930mhz on the ram and I am comfortable with the stability and temp. Furmark runs fine for over an hour, no artifacts, 71c. Any higher on the ram and Furmark is fine, the temps are fine, but I start to see artifacts in Crysis. So should I be able to bump the GPU down a ways, and then try the memory higher without getting the artifacts? I guess I'll just have to try it, but I thought I'd ask if this is a reasonable expectation.
