My first post on this forum, so hello!

Temps on my 8800GTS seem to be getting a bit too high for comfort, going past 83'c in games and i'm starting to think it is causing errors in games, was hoping someone could suggest what to do with it..

The model is a "640MB XFX 8800GTS PCI-E (x16), Mem 1", this should be the same model:

Was thinking possibly getting this:
http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=627848
with this:
http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=627856

Otherwise if you think it will not perform well enough or is just wrong how about:
Something like this http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=683702
with this:

One concern is the compatibility says these coolers work with "GeForce 8800GTS (G92)" - the "(G92)" mean a different model from mine?

the g92 is a completely different card, but it may still fit, i'm not expert....

I believe the g92 8800gts use the same screw attachment locations as g80 8800gts. If so, it should fit, in theory.

This one is good. The others will run your temperature up even higher than stock cooler. Passive cooling is bad.

Before buying, try increasing fan speed and see if it helps. You can use Rivatuner to change fan speed.
