My PC is old and desperately needs a video card upgrade. I did some research and found that the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT AGP would probably be the best AGP video card in its price range.

The thing I'm having trouble deciding on is which manufacturer to buy it from. I think these are all of the manufacturers that make it:

- Sapphire
- HIS
- Diamond
- Visiontek
- Palit

Can anyone suggest the best way to go?

Thanks,

~Nate

Any of the first 3 are probably your best bet, although any of them would be just fine. If you're concerned about longevity, look for the ones with the longest warranties.

I like what Sapphire does with modifying the reference designs & coolers, myself, and I use their HD3650 (though PCIe) in my HTPC.

Drivers for the AGP version of the 2600 XT are pretty awful. If you can afford it a 3850 AGP card is much more stable.
