Upgrade or Build New Rig

Hi guys. I'm new to the website so I don't know if i'm posting to the correct site. If i'm not i apologize upfront. I am asking the community for some help on an issue i'm having. Well more of a dilemma.

I currently own an XPS410 that i purchased from DELL many many years back. Probably around 6 or 7. Right when Oblivion came out.

My question is simple. Would it be silly to try and upgrade this computer with the small amount of options that are available from DELL? Or just better to build a new one buying individual parts and putting it together. These are my current system specifications. Thank you for any and all help.

Most people are going to say don't bother and/or depends on what you are doing with the computer. My experience is that there are several upgrades you can do on theses Dells they make a huge improvement. I have the same XPS410 with a Samsung 840 250gb ssd, a Q6700 CPU and Windows 8. You can install a 64bit Windows 8, 8gb 800mhz ram, an HD7770 GPU and a bluray drive. If you upgrade the PSU then you can get an even more powerful GPU.
