I am considering in upgrading the onboard graphics on my PC
I was thinking of the Geforce 6800 XT
My PC has specs: P4 HT 2.8Ghz, 1Gb RAM, PCI-E x16 and embarrassingly a 305 Watt PSU.
Which graphics card would be advisable for me to upgrade to?

Thanks

Do they even sell the 6800XT anymore?
I would recommend for you something like a radeon HD2600XT for about $100 or a GeForce 9600GSO for a little bit more. My guess is your processor will bottleneck either card though.

yeah the his 2600xt has great performance, got mine for 70$ on newegg. If you get the 2600xt though make sure to upgrade the psu to at least 400w cause its thirsty.

the thing about my PC is that it's a Dell.
so... upgrading the PSU may seem a bit 'head-scratching'
i was thinking about the 7600GT from overclockers (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-055-OK)
would this card be okay for my PC to handle, since my PSU is 305 Watts?
