or

Istar USA 750W TC-750PD1

I'm from argentina, and here, there are very few good power supplies, so these 2 options are the unique that i have.

The Rosewill, here is priced 140 dollars, and the Istar USA is priced 180 Dollars.

Which one should i buy?

If you give us some idea of what components are in your system then we can give you a better answer.

Unless your pc is fairly high end the Rosewill PSU should be fine

e8400
msi p35 neo2-fr
2x250gb raid 0
8800gt
2x2gb @ 1000mhz

and in the future i will put in the system a 4850 CF with a better mobo. (16x 16x pcie)

i want the best power supply in QUALITY.

OK, get the 750W for HD 4850 Crossfire. 630W is cutting it a bit too close. I'd try it with a 620HX but not with a Rosewill.

According to this, iSTAR is a tier 2 i.e. good, while Rosewill is a tier 5, i.e. junk.

Those prices are horrible. $180 for the same iSTAR PSU that costs $77+$11 at newegg? :(

Have you shopped around a bit? That is, are other stores in your area even more expensive?

People sometimes have no idea that many countries have very high import duties. What costs us $100 here in the USA can cost $200 to $300 in some countries.

sxulocktor the istar is the better of the 2, go with it.

yeah!, exactly, in example, a psu priced 130 dollars in usa, in argentina is 300 dollars or more! the duties are VERY VERY high in products like PSU that must be tested before enter to the country

I'd still go with the iStar, even though it isn't on the lists. That's a PD1 model, and the tiered listing has PD2 and PD3 on tier-2. I would think that PD1 would be no lower than tier-3, which should be safe. Rosewill is iffy. Although Jonnyguru reviewed some Rosewill models and found them quite good, I don't recall that the RX-630 was one of them and that site is blocked at work; it does have Active PFC so is probably better than the typical models that earned Rosewill a place on tier-5, but I don't think I'd trust it.

iStarUSA primarily caters to the server market so their PSUs should be pretty reliable.

Rosewill PSUs are hit and miss, so unless you can find a review of that exact model (I can't) then I recommend you steer clear.
