Hi, basically i've got a 40 GB hard drive.
I am on the limit using 38GB currently.

However i cannot possible see where all this space is allocated to.

Upon checking the C Drive i can see that Windows is taking up 5GB, Program Files 20GB.

Where is this other 15GB gone?

I'm looking for advice on what to do here, thanks.

Have you run a drive clean?

Shows what is taking up space on your drive in a graphical output. Can delete files from the program. Be careful as you can delete stuff that will crap out the OS.

I would delete all the old windows updates along with the temp folders.
Google and you'll find it.

I presume you've emptied the Recycle Bin.

To check the storage distributions go to START==>(OPEN) MY COMPUTER ===> Select all the drives ===> Click right and go to properties, you will be able to check storage capacity and data have been stored in each drive.

You may also have a lot of space tied up in Restore Points. Have a look at this article.
