Strange pendrive behaviour

Hi there, a very strange thing happened today. i was using like normal my pen drive and went to use it on my friend's pc which i had just assembled and when i plugged it in it said usb device not recognized. Same thing happened with his external hard disk. His mouse , keyboard and game pad which are all usb worked fine. When i took the pen drive home same thing happened here. It senses it as a device but cannot recognize it. any ideas? Thx

Most probably. Try on a Linux distro. If that fails then your drive is dead.
