Hi, firstly let me say I'm from New Zealand so prices down here vary a lot from what you see on newegg, usually 20-50% more. My budget is $1500 Nzd. I have been searching around a bit and that is what I've come up within my budget for my new rig mainly focused on gaming. This is the website I used to find the cheapest parts available in NZ or simply add around 35% from newegg. http://www.pricespy.co.nz/

CPU: Intel CORE 2 DUO E8400 3.0GHz 6M 1.33GHz LGA775 = $282

Graphics card: GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB, (G92) PCI Express = $398

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Motherboard: GA-EP35-DS3R LGA775 = $209

RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 800MHz DDR2 CL6 2x(4gb) = $120

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Hardrive: Seagate 250G SATA2 7200RPM 3GB/s 8MB Buffer = $70
http://www.pcpop.co.nz/shop/main/product.asp?pid=431
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Case/Psu: ANTEC SONATA III 500W QUIET SUPER MINI TOWER CASE (PIANO BLACK) = $220
http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentvie...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU Cooler: FREEZER 7 PRO = $44
http://www.c1com.co.nz/shop/step1.php?number=12114
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OEM = $132

Total = $1475 nzd

Does this look good value for money, will it all fit together, am I missing anything, cooling good enough? Just basic value for money, what can I improve on etc. Thanks a lot for any help! Remember I'm from Nz and prices are pretty wack here as you can see from my links hehe.

Looks like your good.

Even with your prices, what your getting is worth it.

I don't see a disc drive, keyboard, mouse, or monitor. I'm assuming you probably have these already.

Ohh completely forgot about disc drives heh thanks for reminder. Do I need a soundcard or is it built into the motherboard?

The motherboard has an on board sound device. If you find you don't like it, some on board sound is pretty crappy, you can always get a nice sound card later. Some on board sound is actually quite good.
