Hey all,

I still dont have a manual for my tv. Its on a loan. Google really hasnt
done much for me either. My model is the D52W20. I have a new Adelphia
unit HDTV reciever that I can select the popular HDTV formats. I have
480i/p, 720p, and 1080i.

When 720 is selected via the Motorola 6412/2000 Adelphia cable box, the
image is in 3 sections. That is, it is the same image from left to right.
It appears like the quality would be good. But not having the manual for
the TV, I do not know if its a limitation or not of the TV. I assume it is
at this point. I leave it at 1080i.

I again am assuming that a 720p picture would look a little better than the
1080i due to interlacing. I get that opinion from watching my Phillips DVP
642 DVD player with progressive scan on-vs-off. With Progressive ON, its
loads better of course. I akin that to interlacing.

Is this unit capable of that resolution? There are no obvious input
settings other than the simple DVI or YPbPr. I currently use the latter
although the results are the same on either.

Thanks all,
SL

I don't quite understand the proble. If you just need the D52W20 users's
manual, you can download it from the RCA web site. It is pdf, about 45
pages.

Download the manual from RCA if you want it. I didn't bother to try
to find it, but another poster said it is available.

I did find with a quick search that the native display for this set is
1080i, which I would expect for this sort of rear projection set. So,
set the cable box output to 1080i so the box does a single conversion
to that format when the broadcast station isn't 1080i so the TV
doesn't have to do a second conversion.
