Good morning for all!

I'm trying to connect a IBM DS3200 Storage with 12 sas hard disks drives (300Gb) by fibre channel using lsi hba sas 3442x. But, didn't work!

I would like to know if lsi sas 3442x supports 12 HDDs using IBM ds3200 ?

Thanks!

Leonvski

Have you tried consulting the manual of your controller?

Yes

I read all documentation for LSI and IBM and I contacted them yesterday. It seems there is incompatibility between LSI 3442x and IBM x3400 Server. I'm waiting IBM contact me.

Thanks for the support

you are trying to connect a SAS controller to Fiber channel. you want either an Emulex or Qlogic FC HBA. IMO, go Qlogic
