I need to connect another PC to my home network but am 15m from the router, I can't lay more wires and am unwilling to shell out for a new router for this room. So is it possible to connect the unconnected computer to the connected computer computer (a distance of <2m) by adding a NIC to my connected computer (at least whilst the main PC is on)?

How is you main PC connected to the router? If it's a wired connection, just get a network switch. If it's wireless, you could use ICS but it's a pain in the ass to setup.
