Intel to drop high-end Napa chipset, beef up mainstream parts

ULi to help Nvidia's high-end chipsets; benefits all around from acquisition

Nvidia will adjust its chipset roadmap following the acquisition of ULi Electronics, according to company president and CEO Huang Jen-hsun. has anyone got any experience with the p45 chipset i got the asus p5q pro and the chipset runs hot im just wondering if anyone else has the same problem the temp is 39 idle 46 load

That seems like it could be about right

I have the P5Q Pro. My idle NB temps with the stock heatsink were around 40c with no OC, and around 48c with my Q6600 @ 3.0ghz. It peaked at close to 70c while running prime95, was way to high for me. Replaced the NB with a Thermalright HR-05 SLI/IFX and it dosent go over 55c under load.
