Hey there, I am in the market for a large computer monitor or a 1080p HDTV to use primarily as a PC display. I want at least 27" and a max of 32"
Newegg has had a really good deal on the Hanns G 28" LCD for $489.99 w/ free shipping (went on sale two weekends in a row) but isn’t on sale at the moment.
Dell has a nice 27" LCD, and there are a few others as well.
As far as HDTV's go, the TOSHIBA REGZA 32" 1080p has caught my eye. A friend has one and says it is a great display. Buydig.com has it for $799 w/ free shipping.
I don’t have any game consoles but might get one down the road. I presently have a 22" Acer lcd that I would sell as part of the upgrade process. Any opinions on a particular display?
Well, the monitors are going to look a lot better than the tv because they're built for computers, but, with the tv you might have some compatability problems.
You might want to also look at this LCD 1080P TV that NewEgg has.

Gamers rejoice! The LC-32GP1U is the first LCD TV designed from the ground up for today's state-of-the-art video game consoles. The newly-developed Vyper Drive game mode eliminates any perceptible video lag time.
I bought one last December and have it hooked up using a DVI/HDMI connector running it at 1920x1080 and it look great. Or you can get this year model that come in White, Red or Black for $400 more.
I see alot of tv in what I do ,and sharp is the best.Solid picture quailty and fast response rate.My monitor is an LG 47'' 1080p with 5 ms response. The only monitors that are better than lcd tv are ones thats above 1920/1080.
