hi there! i heard that it is possible to convert my 8800GT VGA to QUADRO FX 3700 by softmod. and the only way to do that is by using rivatuner thru nvstrap (low level system tweaks) but unfortunately it's not there on the rivatuner 2.09. How is it possible? does my rig can't run it? here is my rig...

MOBO = gigabyte GA965P-DQ6
CPU = Kentsfield CORE2QUAD 2.4Ghz Q6600 G0
VGA = XFX GeForce8800GT 512MB 600MHz
DDRII = 2 x 1GB Kingston 800MHz
HDD = 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm + external HDD Western Digital 250GB
PSU = AcBEL 800Watts

i guess my rig is sufficient enough to make NVSTRAP works. Hope you can help me on this coz' i reli love to try softmodding my VGA. thanks in advance!

Are you softmodding because you want to use that card as a workstation card? Or for the hell of it? Cause a quadro is a workstation card for 3D acceleration in CAD and such, pretty slow for gaming.

yup! i will use it as a workstation card... for max - cad - maya. you have any idea how i can see the nvstrap on low level system tweaks?

tnx for the link mate but i've been on that site... i am using it as a guide and i found out that 8800GT = quadroFX 3700. my problem is i can't see the NVSTRAP on LOW LEVEL SYSTEM TWEAKS. i just wish you can help me on how to enable it so that i can select the driver for quadro fx 3700 (downloaded from nvidia) and softmod my 8800GT. tnx again...

Ah, cool. Glad you aren't someone who's like "lol... I want a quadro. Sounds cool."

Thats definitely something I would consider doing if I did more heavy CAD. I have CATIA's settings all maxed out on my three year PC... Barely any slow down. But, then again, I don't do really heavy CAD.

And I'm not really sure how I can help you out, haven't tried a softmod myself.
