I need help. My computer has a runtime error!

Hello,
I have tried to turn on my computer. It has Vista on it. When I turn it on the screen says to pick which mde to start. Then no matter what I choose, a Runtime error shows up.
c:\windows\system32\nvvsvc.exe
How do I fix this?

A system file has probably become corrupt, or a registry entry is in error. Review these Vista Recovery Options.
