More Information

I plan on purchasing a new gaming rig in about two weeks. The primary game I will be playing is Age of Conan. I would also like to keep the total below $2000.

I am aware of the new ATI and NVidia cards right around the corner. If they come out within a reasonable time, I will swap for my current GPU out for one.

(note: I already own an e8400 and a mouse)

Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Grand total including tax and shipping: $1969

Ok seeing that you know that new cards are just round the corner and that you would swap your card for one of the newer card, I still wouldn't recommend the 9800GX2..its a cr@p card for that price.... get the 8800GTX instead

Also get the Xigmatek S1283 cooler instead.

I see you're buying a 7.1 sound card and 2.1 speakers....ditch the sound card. You get decent 5.1 onboard card on your mobo.

Also get the Seagate 500gb 7200.11 HD instead

He would actually be better off with 8600 till the new cards come... GTX is priced a lot lower than the 9800gx2...and is still the grand master, even though its aging.
