Hi all,

I'm after a new system capable of gaming with a budget of £350. I'm going to need everything except for a monitor.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Keyboard and mouse?

You are building it yourself?

Sorry forgot those details... Yes I've got a keyboard and mouse, and yes I'm building it myself.

Alright.

Assuming that 1 GBP is roughly equal to 2 USD...

Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale dual-core - $140

Gigabyte EP35-DS3L motherboard - $90

2x1 GB kit Crucial DDR2-800 memory - $55 ($20 MIR)

XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512mb - Zalman HSF - $170

Cooler Master Centurion 534 case - $45

Corsair 550VX power supply - $70

Seagate 7200.10 250 GB hard drive - $60

You can choose your optical drives. I personally love my SAMSUNG DVD-RW.

Should round out to just under 700 USD after shipping. This is priced on Newegg.com for everything but the PSU, which was priced on Buy.com.

Excuse me, the PSU is $85 with a $25 MIR.

That should just top $700 after shipping.

That's actually a $15 MIR...

I am so brain-dead today... sorry about that.

The conversion you used is fine. However, any computer parts suppliers in the UK usually charge more simply because they can with market in the shape it is. So a 350 pound PC may be a bit hard to do. I'd say a 400-450 pound PC maybe. I'm from the US though, so I could be incorrect.

Yes you're right, the build Cpt Deadboots mentioned would set you back around £450, I live in england.

I apologize.

Change the video card to a GeForce 8800 GS, the processor to a Pentium dual-core E2160, and the PSU to a Corsair 450VX.
