Core i7 help, is this normal?

Well, I had just recently upped the volts and changed clock speed a little bit, well when the CPU is idle the multiplayer drops down to around 12x150 when it is idle.



When it it is being used it goes up to 21x150.



Is this normal or should it always remain at 21x150?


and if so how do i fix this ?

It is normal, you have to disable the intel speedstep in the bios for it to remain at full speed.

Do u recommend this ? or is it fine the way it is ?

It is fine. It uses the clock as needed and saves energy.
