any card above 9600GT with 512MB VRAM is worth SLi in my mind.

Indeed sir.They should run in SLI just fine.I run 2 EVGA 8800GT SUPERCLOCKED cards in SLI and they are dynomite.Love them.Just my two cents worth.Goodluck.
