New 500GB Hard Drive 08/07/09 Drive almost full plugged in as normal not working green light is flashing need to be constant un able to use please help

Are you using the e-sata cable(the red flattened cable) and a 4-pin (usually a white connector)powercable at the same time?

If this help didn't solve it, make sure that the Cable between your HDD and your Mobo(often connected next to the RAM) is correctly inserted
