Just stumbled across this bit of news about the forthcoming cards:

I know that the enquirer isnt exactly the most neutral of sites about, but if the 4870 really can beat the 9800gtx by a decent margin, then nvidia will have a fight on their hands again. Hope so.

Of course 4870 will outperform 9800gtx. 8800gts outperforms 9800gtx.

The real question is how it will perform against g200.

Those graphs have been posted already and are from ATI so will be best case scenario i would expect. These cards will be an improvement on the last gen or else ATI have some very good spin doctors spreading leaks.
I really cant wait(i know i have to) to see just what these cards can do. i have always said that i think 30-40% over a 8800GTS isnt un reasonable to expect.
