I am able to run a single Club3d Radeon HD4870 card on my Gigabyte X48-DQ6 but when I plug in the other one my system will crash a minute or two into windows. It will even crash when running memtest86 with two cards. I have a 1000W PSU so doubt that is the problem. Both cards work seperately and in both PCI-E 16 ports so the ports and cards are fine I guess. I have tried manually setting pci-e frequency to 100mhz and 105mhz as well as increasing voltages. Increasing the Northbridge voltage by 0.1 results in the system freezing before reaching windows, however.
Single 4870 runs fine, Crossfire=freeze on X48-DQ6
