Dell says XPS 700 will not ship overclocked after all

Ok i am just wondering if these components are all good and compatible ( i am all most 100% sure they are) but her it is :
intel c2d e7200
evga 750i ftw
2 gb ddr2 800 crucial ballistix
650 watt psu logisys (beast!)
250 gb sata (thats fine)
radeon x1950 xtx

i think thats it but i might be forgetting something but i am just wondering mainly if the processor is compatible with the mobo out of the box( i dont have a socket 775 proc to update bois with so no bios updates)

PSU is cr@p!. Do your self a favor and get a quality PSU lfrom PP&C or Corsair or even Antec/Thermaltake. If you are buying the X1950 new how much are you spending on it? What is you budget? And what games+res do you play at?

Just because a PSU has a high wattage rating does not make it a beast. Shadow is exactly right. He also recommends good brands. You can pick up a 610W PP&C right now for $90 after MIR @ newegg.

Don't buy a SLI motherboard and use an ATI video card on it. That's counterproductive. Look at P35/x38.

well the psu has 22v on 2 12v rails so 44volts total (should be able to power everything im using it now on my pc that im typing this with!)and will the ati/ nvidia thing just not work or will it just be "counterproductive" the only things i need to buy are the mobo and hdd everything else i have

It will work just fine. It makes no sense to spend more money on a SLI motherboard and not use it. It would make more sense to a get a Crossfire board.

Oh ok cool thanks for the help! yeah your right but i will eventually get some nvidia/sli video cards to go along with this board so its all good lol Thanks!
