I just lapped my E6850@3.6ghz + Swiftech Apoge GT cpu block. ( P5N32e SLI PLUS mobo. Vcore : 1.456 )

CPU temp before lapping : Idle 27-28 / Load 55-60

CPU temp after lapping : Idle 27-28 / Load 42-45

I used 80 - 150 - 320 grid. Finished with circular movement.

My CPU was a lil bit concave. The block was ALOT more concave. Im really happy with my result !

What about yours ???

after a few hours of gaming (GTA4) im idling(gaming) @ 35-38 and as soon as i stop the game. im back @ 25-28 (currently 25 and 26 coretemp).

Its really worth it ! take your time, sit down, drink a bear, and lap the thing !

You can be impressed by how far your CPU and/or Block can be concave ... OMG !

are those load temps with Prime95?

Yes. Prime95 and OCCT. gives about the same temp.
