$699, and the MSRP is $649, even if an OC2E version, sounds like the price drop rumours aren't panning out.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when these cards launch at their originally projected prices 649/349 and see if the super cheap rumours don't hurt people's perception of value since they were unrealistically now expecting them for 399/249 instead. : :

Wait, does that mean the new gpus are less powerful than expected too? Nothing's that easy.

frys isnt exactly known for its low GPU prices... i think the 7800gt is still over $150.
