Prime 95 tests large ftt vs small ftt, which one is more stressful? I've been using the large ftt because it sounded more stressful but as I read more articles as I overclock it seems that the small ftt is used. Anyone know the reason?

SmallFFT is more stressful to the CPU core, LargeFFT is more stressful to the memory and memory controller. You should be able to pass both.

try intelburn test 1.9 but read info firts puts more stress on cup than prime and temp 22c higher

yeah intel burn test is the way to go. your temps will be 5-15c higher so watch them carefully. my e8500 at 4.27 goes up to 70-75 in IBT but in p95 doesnt go over 60. plus with ibt you will know quicker if your OC is good or not.

Instant gratification is not the objective. It is well known among expert overclockers that Prime95 Small FFT's is the accepted standard for CPU thermal testing and stability testing because of it's steady-state 100% workload..

...we tested our system stability using ... Prime95 25.7 utility in Small FFTs and Blend modes. This program proved to be the best tool for detecting over-overclocking and reported errors when most other popular stability check tools (including OCCT, LinX and IntelBurnTest) showed a pass.

More stress but only during each iteration. Between iterations the load drops right off, as does temp. There is no consistency at all. You can't say "I ran IBT for 24 hours stable" because you weren't running that excessive load the whole time.
