Conflicting Temperatures

I'm running a Q9650 at stock at the moment, with a striker II formula I have a question about temperatures....

I'm using Everest and I get a reading of between 12C and 15C depending on how much load the CPU is under.....However when I've used the software that came with the board, the ASUS suite I think it is, I get a reading of 22-25C and when I go in to BIOS and check from there I get a reading that the CPU is at 33C

I though that Everest was a respected temperature tool?

Could someone recommended something better and a reason as to why the CPU temps are so different before I start to overcock....

Get RealTemp or CoreTemp.

^+1 for RealTemp. It will report the correct temp. You can also try and calibrate SpeedFan according to the C2D Temp guide.
