Ok I am going to purchase one of these 2 cards. I would rather have the 3850 but my psu is a 430w Thermaltake with 12v@18A so im not sure if this will sufice. I have received several conflicting reports from diffrent sites on this subject. If my psu is not big enough will a 2650 be a decent card for moderate gaming?

Go with the 3850. That Thermaltake 430W is a pretty good powersupply, and as long as you do not have any crazy overclocks right now you should be able to handle the card.

Is the 300 GB hard drive the new Velociraptor by any chance?

The 3850 will definitely be fine then.

Here is a pretty handy power supply calculator. It verifies what I said. According to this, you would need 226 watts. (Although I would round that up to 300 watts because power supplies are not always accurate). Your 430 Watt will be good.
