Hi, I built a completely new system (everything in it is new, besides the harddrive and DVD drive). When I start the computer, I get the normal BIOS screen and then I get an error saying "A disk error occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart. When I restart, I get the same message. I tried re-installing xp again (twice) and am still getting the same error. I tested it with 2 working harddrives (Both IDE) and I STILL get the same message. I have tried re-setting BIOS settings to default, and still get the message. (I do have the jumpers set right, and I have tested different IDE cables) If anybody could help me it would be very apprecieated.

Does the Seagate show up in the BIOS during the post?
