Restore point trigger

Haven't done this in a loooooong while and can't seem to remember how. could someone tell me the steps to create a system restore trigger that will create a system restore point before a program is installed.

I have always found this to be very useful when 'trying out' frees software that my make the computer act weird after the install.

System Tools > Restore (take a manual restore snapshot).

Also, one is taken automatically on each boot.
