Vista not rcognising adsl modem

My Visat laptop is not recognising the modem when I plug the camle in - as soon as I plug the cable into the laptop I am using now (XP) the extra ligt comes on in the modem

Download the XP driver - I guess you were running ok under Vista ?
PS: There are different model numbers for this modem, and I don't want to guess which one you have.
