Hi, I just built a new computer, this is my motherboard:

and my HDD:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136320

Anyways, in the BIOS, it isnt recognized. Ive tried two SATA cables, two PSU cables, and I made sure they were both connected securely. I go into the BIOS and in the CMOS section, I hit auto detect and it doesnt appear. I try this for all 3 master IDE's.

Im pretty sure the HDD is working ok because I can hear it spinning and vibrating. Any help?

Look through the Bios, what setting is the HDD set to run on? you can pick sata/raid/compatability.

here is a pick of what im talking about

There is another spot in gigabyte bios as well where you can adjust HDD settings. I would think if you set the board to factory default it will find it.

ok i did that and it didnt work. im at a loss. i put in my windows 7 RC dvd, go to install, and then in the select a drive section there is nothing there. it says that i need to insert a device CD or something, and I don't have that considering my drive was OEM.
