I purchased an XP SP3 and I am having trouble with it booting up from the cd/dvd drive to reinstall XP on my gateway computer.
I went to the bios, boot, and see cd/dvd, but it does not let me access this inform. I do not want to upgrade I want to reinstall.Can you help?

During boot sequence you'll have to press a function key to get to the boot menu.
The function key is based on the bios you have. Check the boot screen for the information and press that function key.
Once the boot menu is displayed you can select CD/DVD ROM drive to boot from.
