Medion WIN2120 locked in can't configure, can't undo Vista update

My Medion WIN2120 was downloading Vista updates, then couldn't configure OR undo the changes: locked in endless loop trying, stopping, restarting, trying ....

Laptop came with Vista installed: no installation disc.

Interrupt that loop by powering off and restarting into Safe Mode with Networking. Press the power button for about eight seconds and then turn it back on and start tapping the Function 8 key to see the Advanced Boot menu. Select Safe Mode with Networking and hopefully, you can log in without the update trying to complete.

If that fails, you need to borrow a Vista DVD to use the StartUp repair options.
