Does anyone have any experience with the 2 power supplies in the thread title? I can get either for within $5 of each other so price does not matter. Which would you choose and why?

The corsair.... because of its fan and fan controller.

The Corsair's fan controller is just an automatic thermal fan controller... the PC P&C has the same thing AFAIK.

Both are made by Seasonic (my preferred brand).

Between the two though, I would choose the Corsair because of the 120mm fan. The bigger the fan, the slower it must spin to move th same amount of air as a smaller fan (80mm for the PCP&C). Thus, the quieter the PSU will be.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.

The Corsair has the 6+2 pin PCI-e connectors - the PC 610 just 6 pin connectors.
Corsair has 8 SATA power connectors PC 610 has 6.
The Corsair has a slightly lower 80Plus curve than the PC 610. http://www.corsairmicro.com/_image [...] ciency.jpg http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/503/5
Corsair's +12v rating might be a little bit higher.

edit; the PC 610s latest versions have 1 6pin and 1 6+2pin PCI-e connectors.
