Knowing the 920 was a great deal if you overclocked it, i couldnt let it go. So i went for it, and now i have absolutely no idea what to do :(  I'd appreciate some step by step guide to overclocking on my rig.

i7 920 2.66 Ghz
ASUS P6T-SE motherboard
Chieftec 750 Watt Sli 80Plus CM 140mm
Kingston DDR3 1333 Mhz CL9 6Gb kit
Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme cpu cooler

All i want is a little 3.2 Ghz overclock, then i'm happy.

Any help would be great, just keep in mind i've never overclocked before. Would be cool if someone had the exact same rig and could just give me the settings. :)

since there isn't a guide on this site, I found another one that did:

you going to oc to 3.2 leave cpu voltage on auto, your cpu ratio to 20 or auto, trun off turbo tech,ht thread, speed stepping, change your bclk 133 to 160 at 20x if you using stock cooler. that how i would do it. read more get more infor.-for ram make sure watch setting 1333 i would set it back or 1200mhz to 1333. for me i hard time over clock my 920 at frist time was heat from cpu i didnt have all the turbo tech, speed step and hpyer thread trun off.

one more thing watch tempature on idle under 45c and full load 69-70c max.

For easy, step by step instructions, check out this video. I used the same settings on my system:

http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/asus-p...cing/12157000/

I also documented the settings:

http://fedsix.com/?p=7

Just one thing; be sure to have a good cooler. I'm using the CoolerMaster V8, which gives me an idle temp of 45c (approx 70c stressed). When I used these settings with the stock cooler I got an idle temp of 70c.

trun off turbo tech,ht thread

whoa, does that mean that I have to remove one of the features for which I bought the 920, HT, in order to OC it?
