System Recovery Question

Last response: in Windows Vista

Ok so my friends pc had "disk boot failure"error.

So i put the vista recovery CD in the pc and it booted.
I want to do system recovery but im not sure want drivers to load...No drivers come up on the system recovery options.Not sure where they are or what to load?

Any help guys?

Startup repair takes care of system files.

Well i can't locate the windows vista folder as the hardrive isn't showing up

disk boot failure -- usually means that the HDD is damaged (or not properly connected) - so first check all off the connections to the HDD and make sure it is installed properly - then run some tests on the HDD to see if there is an actual problem with the hardware that needs a replacement HDD before trying to use a recovery CD.
