Hello,
I have PC - Intel(R) Celeron (R) CPU 420@1.60 GHz 1.60 GHz
RAM 512MB
32-bit operating system..I installed win 7 couple of days ago and the whole computer is getting stuck and I was expecting to get better performances after I reinstall windows . Do you think that this configuration is too weak for Win 7 and maybe I should change it again?

IMO, that system is too weak to run 7, I would say throw another 512 megs of RAM in it and put XP on it. You can run XP on 512 megs if you don't want to buy more RAM. But like I said, I personally think that is way too weak to be running 7.

You would be using DDR2 Ram more than likely, and you may only have one more slot for ram, although some older boards do still have two 128mb chips of ram. All you need to do, is check how many slots you have left, and go pick up some additional ram, at Leading Edge stores you can pick up 512mb or even 1gb of ram for around $30-$60 at the most. If you put in another 1gb I think you would be fine for running windows7, considering I have found it to only be a little heaver that xp on the performance side.

Sure that will work, i installed win 7 on my netbook with a 1.6ghz atom and 1gb of ram and it works great, i just lowered some settings but i really like the remote connection software in windows 7 which is why i switched to windows 7 from xp.

From experience I would say that the processor is fine (My All in One is 1.6GHz with 4 Gb of ram)

You'll just need more ram is all. The processor should work fine, Windows has zero hangups for me with that speed.
