Hello:

I have a Hitachi DeskStar model hds725050klat80 ATA/IDE LES 500Gb 3.5 inch AT 7200rpm (part #0A32298).

I want to know if it can be used in a PC. I ask this because the label says "Apple HDD Firmware 2005" and the Apple logo is on the label. I believe this HD came from a Mac.

I looked for data on the web and at Hitachi but did not find the answer. I would like to install it in a PC and install Windows. Is it Pata or Sata or just Ata?

Thank you for advice. Tom.

I'm pretty sure you can use it in a PC..

Just format it once it's in your PC.. To my knowledge, that hitachi hd uses the pata (ide) interface..

Welcome to the forums!

It should work just fine.
